Creative Partner & Founder
Aref Vakili
Founder & Studio Director
Aref Vakili is the founder and driving force behind DelFrame, bringing a background in social sciences, documentary filmmaking and investigative, human-centred storytelling.
He leads the overall direction of the studio, shaping its creative vision, services, client relationships and development. His work is particularly rooted in documentary filmmaking, Impact Stories and visual storytelling for organisations, universities, conferences, trade shows and other corporate settings.
Aref also oversees DelFrame’s video production and documentary work, as well as the practical side of building and growing the studio — from packages, pricing and production planning to insurance, official requirements, website development and the studio’s professional presence online.
His approach is grounded in understanding people, context and meaning before the camera comes out, with a preference for honest, thoughtful storytelling over staged or overly produced work.
Elena Bilan
Lead Photographer & Creative Partner
Elena Bilan is a highly regarded natural-light lifestyle photographer known for her warm, intuitive and documentary-style approach to photographing mothers, couples and families.
As a creative partner to DelFrame, Elena brings a distinctive photographic voice to the studio and is closely involved in its family photography work, including motherhood, maternity, couples, weddings, birthdays and family celebrations. She also collaborates with Aref on selected corporate and event photography projects.
Her work is recognised for its natural emotion, gentle observation and ability to capture genuine connection without over-directing or over-staging the moment.
Elena’s creative contribution is an important part of DelFrame’s identity, particularly within its family photography offering, while the overall direction, management and running of DelFrame remain led by Aref.
We believe storytelling has responsibility.
Not everything needs to be loud or fast. Some work needs care, attention and understanding.
